First Week in France

In this trip I took a Survival French class; a French culture and basic language class taught by ESA (European Studies Association) In this class we learned basic French to feel at ease in the Parisian environment. In addition to this languages class, we learned about the French culture, etiquette, walking tours to the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay and Parisian neighborhoods. We stayed at the Rue De Conde in St. Germain des Prés. Our dorm had TV room, student kitchen, library, etc. This program included a weekend in Normandy with historic Rouen and Bayeux, D-Day Beaches. We went Monet’s Giverny, Medieval Fair & D-Day Beaches, Honfleur. Then they took us to see Ste Chapelle Concert, Opera, Versaille I was blessed enough to be in Paris, France during the world cup finals. It was definitely a moment in history for me. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone because if not this whole experience would not have been in possible. I can still hear “Allez Les Bleus! Allez les bleus, Allez Les Bleus! In the back of my head
